Branding - Since it's beginnings, skateboarding has been a rebel activity. There's probably no bigger force to challenge than gravity. And so, it has become a symbol of fighters and strugglers.
El Realito is a neighborhood located within Monterrey metropolitan area. Once on the outer limits of the city, is now enclosed between neighborhoods that have relegated their development in someway. Because of this, crime and gangs rose to great levels.
A skatepark was constructed in the central park of the neighborhood and since its inauguration, crime and violence levels have declined. This place is now used not only by locals, but by people who lives in other parts of the city. El Realito Skatepark has become a nest of talent, but also and more important, a way to keep kids away from activities that harm their personal growth.
By the end of last year, we were approached by our friend and local photographer Birdiedaboy, who also happens to be a skater and avid visitor of the park. He wants the place to have his own identity, something for the people who rides there everyday and has grown both as person and as skater in those ramps and pipes. He thinks this would give more external projection to local talent and encourage more people to practice skateboarding.

Geometric yet easy to reproduce. Our goal was to develop something that kids and skaters could hand-draw or stencil on their notebooks, backpacks, sneakers, etc.
