Exhibition Identity

The SOCIETY OF HUNGARIAN GRAPHIC DESIGNERS AND TYPOGRAPHERS (MATT) was running its 2009 international graphic design competition. The title is “Annoying? Redesign it!” Everything imaginable found in Hungary can be redesigned: well-known logos, signage systems, passports, money, identity cards, magazines, shop graphics, street signs, tax forms etc. The awards ceremony took place at Design Terminal, Budapest. My goal was to develop a series of abstract forms I can easily play with on different mediums: small invitation cards, on huge billboards, etc. I wanted to shout in fellow designers' face, too.
