  • When designing the logo, I was heavily inspired by Swiss-international styles of graphic design, using a minimal approach to communicate messages as simple as possible. Pasadena, being the “City of Roses”, I felt like that was a perfect way to convey the cities pride by using the rose as the logomark. The iconic symbol for PAX can be recognized instantly because of the connection to the flower and also as a representation of seats on a buses. Taking into consideration my key attributes, coming up with the color palette came naturally. The soft blue representing the sky and a dark charcoal representing the roads. As a secondary color used in the website and mobile app, I used a deep shade of yellow, representing the lines in the roads. The combination of colors creates a safe and friendly environment for passengers.
