In the past, the national rail commuter networks and some of the road networks in South Africa were controlled under the SARCC (South African Rail Commuter Network). The services where independent and fragmented from each other. The rebranding from SARCC to PRASA shifted the mandate to consolidate all services under a single brand offering and integrated transport service model.
The concept of the brand symbol and the super graphic device is perpetual motion. Continuously moving, shaping, changing, and improving the state of commuter transport.
PRASA was selected as the overall global winner in the 2011 Rebrand Awards.
