Visual identity for the Danish National School of Performing Arts, a Copenhagen based school providing a broad variety of educational programs within theatre and dance.
The concept behind the visual identity builds on studies of various plays, dance shows, tv-productions, films etc. During these studies, I discovered the use of credits (names of the involved) which, due to concentrating on the actual productions, are always shown secondary or sometimes even hidden away. At the Danish National School of Performing Arts, being an educational institution, the focus naturally lies differently. Here, the students are center of attention, and they – rather than the actual productions – are the ones who, for future purpose, are in need of highlight. Therefore, the visual identity focuses on the students, their promotion and future in show business.
